When I decided to return to Phoenix from New York City I went to my friends James Kottke and Curt Larson. They were excited to hear that I was returning to the valley and immediately put me in contact with Aaron and Mike. Right from the very first meeting Aaron’s relaxed and comforting demeanor gave me confidence. This would be the first time I purchased a home on my own. Over the next 6 months I learned how invaluable it was to have extremely proactive, informed, available, patient and curious real estate agents in my corner. The two worked seamlessly with each other. After that initial meeting, they really did their research. I couldn’t believe how well they understood my taste and what I was looking for. I had lived in the valley, on and off for almost 30+ years and they were introducing me to neighborhoods I had never known about. As with all home purchases, there are always challenges and surprises. Mike and Aaron were on top of each issue and situation with answers, recommendations and perspective. Due to the nature of the kind of home I was looking for there were an unexpected number of surprises. As I always say, “For things to go as you expect, is the exception to the rule.” We actually submitted offers on 4 different homes before finally closing on the 4th. Home buying can be an emotional rollercoaster. Mike and Aaron made it almost always fun and almost never scary. With each home purchase there were several things to consider from construction, quality and location to process, and financing. They had my back in every scenario. These guys don’t fluster or stump easily. They were always there for me morning, noon and night. Even when their personal lives had their own surprises and distractions, they never made me feel like I was a pest. When you are buying a home it’s one of, if not the biggest purchases a person ever makes. This can make a person a bit crazy. In the end, besides owning my dream home, I take away new friendships and a positive, peaceful outlook that both Aaron and Mike shared with me during our home search.
